Ryan Cos. looking at 1.8MSF Eloy data center

Ryan Switching Eloy Site from Warehouses to Data Center

Ryan Companies is switching out plans to build a 1.8 million square foot industrial project in Eloy in Pinal County, and instead is looking at a three building data center complex. The proposed site is on 122 acres on Houser and Estrella Road, just east of I-10. To be called the Southwest Crossing Data Park, the development will make up more than 855,000 square feet of building area and a 400-megawatt capacity.

AZBEX reports construction costs could top $687 million. Based on the site’s potential for a center of up to 1.25 million square feet, the project is anticipated to kick off impact fees of nearly $1.8 million and more than 4,800 direct construction jobs. Once in operation, the facility could generate more than $5.6 million in direct taxes annually.

Eloy’s town council still needs to approve the zoning measure.

Cotton City Industrial Park is the property owner.
