Ryan Cos. Breaks Ground on 153K-SF Office Tower in Jacksonville

National developer Ryan Cos. has broken ground on a 153,000-square-foot, build-to-suit office tower in downtown Jacksonville. The seven-story tower will be the new headquarters for Jacksonville-based electric utility company JEA.

Located immediately north of the St. Johns River along the Adams Street corridor in Jacksonville, the tower will incorporate design features that celebrate the city’s river and bridges. The project will offer an amenity-rich experience, including rooftop terraces with views stretching to each corner of the city, open-air balconies on each floor and social shared spaces as well as access to Jacksonville’s major roadways and public transportation.

“Starting construction on our new, downtown headquarters building represents a significant milestone in JEA’s history,” said Paul McElroy, interim CEO and managing director at JEA. “This groundbreaking event reinforces our commitment to participate in the growth and development of downtown as a vibrant and lively marketplace. Ryan Companies brings comprehensive successful experience to our project. We are pleased to have them on our team as we celebrate this landmark milestone for JEA, our employees and our community.”
