RXR MXU in Yonkers Lands Gym as First Retail Tenant

RXR Realty’s Larkin Plaza mixed-use development in Yonkers has landed its first major deal with a 15-year, 16,000-square-foot lease for Fitness Factory Health Club. It will be the health club chain’s first location outside New Jersey.

A Lee & Associates NYC team of Steve Lorenzo, Mitchell Salmon and Chris Ventura arranged the lease. Lee NYC is the exclusive leasing agent for Larkin Plaza’s retail.

“Fitness Factory has an exceptional opportunity for success in this new location,” said Lorenzo, who represented both landlord and tenant. “With nearly 5,000 apartment units expected to be coming on line in downtown Yonkers over the next three years, incoming residents will be searching for a convenient place to work out.”

Lorenzo was on the original team that assembled and sold the Larkin Plaza site to Rising Development and brought in RXR as a partner. The Fitness Factory location is slated for an early 2019 opening.
