Runyon Group Plans $60M Platform Expansion
In a retail market changing by the screen-to-door, last mile minute, creative retail commercial real estate owners are finding ways to program locations that seemingly meet the social interaction reality and tactile product immersion still desired by a consumer population in virtual transition and evolution.
California Apparel News recently identified Runyon Group’s Platform boutique retail center in Culver City, CA as a relevant player in the L.A. storefront marketspace, highlighting its plans for a $60-million expansion to bring a new wing of creative offices, retail offerings and restaurants to the project.
According to the interview with Platform and Runyon Group co-founder David Fishbein, the 70,000-square-foot expansion is scheduled to be completed in late summer 2020, with interactive gaming company Scopely committed to leasing 60,000 square feet of Platform’s new wing. The remaining 10,000 square feet will contain two retail spaces, one of which will most likely house a fashion boutique.
