Rubenstein, Northpoint Renovation Progresses in Arlington, VA
Rubenstein Partners, L.P., and JV partner, Northpoint Realty Partners, are moving toward completion in early 2018 of Carlyle Tower and retail improvements in late 2018 at the Shops at Carlyle Tower in Alexandria, VA. The 365,000-square-foot mixed-use project at 2461 Eisenhower Ave. includes 335,000 square feet of fully-renovated office space, 22,500 square feet of existing retail and a 7,500-square-foot retail pad to be developed.
Rubenstein’s Steve Evans says, “One of the primary reasons we acquired Carlyle Tower was the known relocation of the National Science Foundation. NSF was the catalyst that transformed Ballston about 15 years ago, and we expect similar changes in Alexandria due to NSF, the Carlyle Tower project and several other existing and planned mixed-use projects set to break ground imminently.”
NKF’s Steve Hoffeditz, Andy Klaff and Ed Clark are leasing the 14-story office, while Rosenthal Properties’ Billy Orlove and Jane Le are leasing the retail space.
