Royal Blue Grocery Making San Antonio Inroads
Austin-based Royal Blue Grocery announced plans to open a 2,500-square-foot location, its first, in the Savoy Building in downtown San Antonio. The chain signed a lease with local developer Weston Urban for the space at 116 Houston St.
The store, expected to open in September 2018, will sell dairy, fruits and vegetables, beer and wine and grab-and-go meals. The Houston Street location will be Royal Blue’s ninth store.
Weston Urban acquired the historic Savoy in early 2016, spending much of the time converting the 38,361-square-foot former 19th-century hotel into creative office space. Technology investment firm Scaleworks moved into the building in September 2017.
