Routh Group Gambles on $31M Shopping Center Near Louisiana Casinos

The Routh Group has completed the $30.5-million purchase of Louisiana Boardwalk, a 560,343-square-foot, value-add entertainment and shopping development located in the Shreveport submarket of Bossier City, LA.

Adam Howells, Ryan Shore Zach Riebe and Matthew Barge and Cole Sutter of JLL represented the seller and procured the buyer.

The 2005-constructed property is currently at 67% leased and offers 185,000 square feet of available retail and office space. The property is anchored by tenants including Bass Pro Shops Outdoor World and Regal Cinemas. Additional tenants include Dollar Tree, Nike and Cumulus Broadcasting.

The property is positioned along Interstate 20 and is set on the banks of the Red River directly across from downtown Shreveport. The location offers visibility to the approximately 100,000 vehicles per day on I-20. The center is also within steps of the Margaritaville Resort Casino and Horseshoe Bossier City Casino, two of Louisiana’s largest gaming establishments.

Inside The Story

About Lisa McDuffie

Lisa McDuffie arrives at ConnectCRE via REALTOR® world, where she served for nearly two decades as communications director for one of the nation’s largest REALTOR® organizations. She supported two membership-elected presidents who were commercial real estate practitioners, and managed the communications initiatives of the organization’s commercial special interest group. When not following the latest commercial real estate news, Lisa is zeroed in on her charismatic off-the-track thoroughbred as she makes the transition from an utterly failed racehorse to a lovely show hunter.
