Ross Ave Rebirth Underway
Dallas’ Ross Avenue is experiencing a renaissance. Redevelopment activity is transforming the downtown street from strictly an office dominated market into a thriving mix of retail, restaurants, hotels and housing.
Projects being developed are helping to convert a main thoroughfare into a destination that’s open to the street, pedestrian friendly and filled with reasons for people to stop and get out of their cars. Ross Avenue connects Old East Dallas with the Arts District to the West End, and eventually touches the Trinity River.
Among the projects transforming the area are:
- a $135-million renovation and addition to the 50-story Trammell Crow Center tower
- JPMorgan Asset Management’s high-rise with retail, a 200-room hotel and a 400-unit residential tower
- a 60-story Fountain Place tower at Ross and Field Street
- Ross Tower is adding retail, pedestrian areas and new street access
