Rosewood Greenlit for 2,000 Plano Apartment Units

The City of Plano’s Planning and Zoning committee voted to allow Rosewood Property Company to make changes to Heritage Creekside, a 156-acre mixed-use development located at the intersection of Plano Parkway and Alma Drive. The changes allow additional residential, retail, and commercial uses within the development. The item next moves the the city council for approval.

As part of the original adoption of the zoning plan, the Buckley, a 338-unit apartment complex, is nearly completed. Rosewood is using the same team on The Buckley. Hensley, Lamkin, Rachel Inc. serves as the architect. Provident General Contractors will build the project, and Broadway Bank is the lender of record. The company has already completed the 326-unit Ludlow on the site.

The mixed-use district was established in 2014, and development plans have been modified several times since then. Under the recently amended plan, the development would include 2,000 multifamily units at full build-out. A handful of retail buildings have been completed, with over 100,000 square feet expected at buildout.
