Roku Expands to 730K SF at San Jose’s Coleman Highline

Cupertino, CA-based Hunter Storm Development signed a lease expansion with Roku Inc. for an additional 162,557 square feet at San Jose’s Coleman Highline. The deal will bring its HQ footprint to more than 730,000 square feet at the under-development, 1.75-million-square-foot mixed-use project.

The video streaming tech firm plans to relocate from Los Gatos into the five-story building at 1143 Coleman Ave. near the San Jose International Airport in early 2021. Last August, the company leased 472,319 square feet at the office campus development. It subsequently took another 100,000 square feet across four buildings.

Roku has grown from roughly 400 employees in 2015 to 1,111 full-time employees at the end of last year. It currently occupies about 160,000 square feet of Netflix subleased space.
