Rockland Trust Provides $4M for Greendale Revitalization Initiative

New Garden Park, Inc., a subsidiary of the Worcester Business Development Corporation, has secured a $4 million financing arrangement from Rockland Trust to kick-start the Greendale Revitalization Initiative’s initial phases.

In collaboration with the City of Worcester, the Greendale Revitalization Initiative targets the redevelopment of 51 acres of underutilized land in the Greendale area. The funds obtained from Rockland Trust will be employed for demolishing existing structures, enhancing infrastructure, and reintroducing public roadways.

In a significant move in November 2022, Saint Gobain transferred the 51-acre underused land to New Garden Park Inc., aiming to establish 1 million square feet of new manufacturing space in Worcester.
