Rockland Trust Promotes Kathryn O’Malley, James Rizzo to Executive Leadership Team

Hanover, MA-based Rockland Trust Company has elevated Kathryn O’Malley and James Rizzo, two tenured commercial colleagues, to the bank’s executive leadership team.

O’Malley is EVP, chief credit officer and oversees credit risk management, loan structuring, approval, work out, appraisal, and environmental risk mitigation for the organization. She joined Rockland Trust in September of 2009. Prior to that, she spent nine years as an independent consultant completing commercial loan structuring and analysis for regional banks.

Rizzo recently assumed the title of chief commercial banking officer. He is responsible for leading the company’s commercial loan generation strategies. Before being appointed to the bank’s executive leadership team, Rizzo was SVP, regional commercial banking manager and managed the lending and sales activities for a large group of commercial lenders covering south and north of Boston, RI and CT. Rizzo joined Rockland Trust Company after it acquired Slade’s Ferry Bank, where he served as chief lending officer, in 2008.

She supported two membership-elected presidents who were commercial real estate practitioners, and managed the communications initiatives of the organization’s commercial special interest group. When not following the latest commercial real estate news, Lisa is zeroed in on her charismatic off-the-track thoroughbred as she makes the transition from an utterly failed racehorse to a lovely show hunter.
