Rockland Trust Finances Bourne Affordable Housing Project

POAH secured $12.5 million from Rockland Trust to build Cape View Way, a 42-unit affordable housing project in Bourne, MA. Designed for energy efficiency and accessibility, it’ll offer one-, two-, and three-bedroom units, 16 of which will have subsidies for residents earning sixty percent of the area median income.

“Rockland Trust is honored to partner with POAH on Cape View Way to help fill the gap for affordable rental opportunities in a vibrant community,” said Kelly Nguyen, vice president of Commercial Banker at Rockland Trust. “The need for affordable housing opportunities has greatly increased with the growing housing crisis. Cape View Way is addressing that need in a highly desirable location.”

The development will include handicapped-accessible apartments, a community room, a library, outdoor space, and complimentary basement storage. Cape View Way’s location in Sagamore Beach, close to the Bourne Fire Department headquarters.
