Rockefeller Plans 1.3M-SF Lehigh Valley Logistics Park
New York-based The Rockefeller Group plans to develop two logistics centers in Pennsylvania’s Allen Township totaling roughly 1.3 million square feet. The Rockefeller Group Logistics Park will include construction of a one-million-square-foot facility, and the other planned for roughly 290,000 square feet.
The 260-acre site is north of Lehigh Valley International Airport, where a FedEx Ground hub is nearing completion. Rockefeller Group will build the new facilities on three vacant parcels that total more than 100 acres, which encompasses two lots and an easement. Construction on both buildings is slated to commence in early summer, and the facilities will deliver Q1 2019.
The speculative buildings are targeted for logistics/distribution tenants. Those types of occupiers are likely to be drawn to a location with proximity to the airport and FedEx Ground hub, as well as local highways and larger Northeast metro areas.
