Rockefeller, Matan to Develop 5 M-SF VA Logistics Center

Rockefeller Group and the Matan Companies unveiled a partnership to develop the Port 460 Logistics Center in Suffolk, Va., a five-million-square-foot industrial and logistics hub on 500 acres. The first phase, launching in 2025, will encompass five buildings totaling 2.4 million square feet. JLL will manage leasing.

Port 460, benefiting from direct access to the Port of Virginia, connects to major population centers along the East Coast. The port, handling over 3.5 million TEUs annually, is set to become the deepest on the East Coast after a $16.3 billion infrastructure upgrade.

“The logistics center is a great addition to the region as we continue to grow and enhance America’s most modern gateway. As the Port of Virginia continues to add capacity and improve service and efficiency, developments like this are essential to meet the demands of the supply chain industry, and to keep our port a location of choice for end users.” said Stephen A. Edwards, CEO and Executive Director of Virginia Port Authority.
