Rockefeller Launches Development on Otay Mesa Industrial

Rockefeller Group commenced construction on Airway Industrial Park, a 135,623-square-foot distribution center situated on a 7.81-acre site in Otay Mesa. The New York-based firm purchased the site in March 2020 and the building will be the company’s first development in the South San Diego industrial market.

Rockefeller Group’s Marc Berg says, “The South San Diego/Otay Mesa submarket has become a vibrant location for distribution and e-commerce firms to establish a foothold within the region.”

Rockefeller Group’s Michael Sajjadi adds, “The key differentiator of our building is definitely in its design, which incorporates much more truck and trailer parking than most of the existing product in the market.”

The building also includes 137 auto parking spaces, which will provide for a significant workforce. Completion of Airway Industrial Park is expected in June 2021.

Colliers International’s Rich Kwasny and Bob Mooney are marketing the project.
