Rockefeller Joins Meridian on $250M D.C.-Area Office Development
New York-based Rockefeller Group joined The Meridian Group to co-develop the $250-million Boro Tower, a 20-story, 437,000-square-foot trophy office building at The Boro in Tysons, VA. The 50/50 joint-venture marks Rockefeller’s first development in the greater D.C. market.
Rockefeller Group’s Daniel Moore says, “The Boro is a transformational project that will create long-term economic and civic value. We expect Boro Tower to set new standards for quality while enhancing the workplace experience for Class A office users in the market.”
Located near the Greensboro Metro station, the 4.2 million-square-foot development on a 15-acre site will offer a mix of offices, apartments, condominiums, retail stores, restaurants and entertainment.
The Boro Tower is part of an $825-million, 1.7-million-square-foot initial phase now under construction and slated to deliver by early 2019. The office building is more than 20% preleased to two tenants, including media company Tenga and law firm Hogan Lovells.
