Rockefeller Group Breaks Ground on Warehouse Development
New York-based Rockefeller Group recently broke ground on a 186,873-square-foot industrial building at 16512 51st Ave. NE in Arlington, Washington.
The project, called Northsound Logistics Center, is within blocks of an Amazon fulfillment center and the Arlington Municipal Airport, reported the Puget Sound Business Journal. Rockefeller acquired the property for an undisclosed price in August. Matt Hagen of Kidder Mathews represented the seller, Watanabe LLC. Hagen is also the leasing broker for the project, which is slated to deliver in 2026.
HPA Architects designed Northsound Logistics Center, with Barghausen Consulting Engineers serving as the civil engineer and landscape architect. Pennon Construction is the general contractor.
The Arlington site was an off-market deal that closed in just two weeks. Rockefeller entered the West Coast market about 20 years ago when it established itself in California’s Inland Empire. The firm cited regional growth as the reason for its expansion into the Pacific Northwest industrial market.
