Rockefeller, Golub Venture Buys Denver’s Former Greyhound Station Site
New York-based Rockefeller Group and Chicago-based Golub & Company acquired 1055 19th St. in downtown Denver, reportedly for $38 million. The 2.5-acre site, a former Greyhound bus terminal, was sold by Greyhound Lines, Inc., which recently relocated its bus operations to nearby Union Station.
The venture is planning a large-scale, mixed-use development on one of the last undeveloped full-block sites downtown. It is directly across from the Ritz-Carlton hotel and within walking distance of Union Station, the River North Art District, and Coors Field.
Rockefeller Group’s Tom Weeks says, “Given the scale of this project and the combined talents and track records of the development team, we look forward to creating a dynamic mixed-use project with a strong sense of place, building on the authenticity and vibrancy of downtown Denver.”
The Greyhound station redevelopment is the first co-development between the two firms and is Rockefeller’s first Colorado project.
JLL’s Jamie Roupp, Patrick Bolick and Julie Rhoades represented the seller.
