Rockefeller Divests Inland Empire Industrial Building to KKR for $44M
New York-based Rockefeller Group sold a recently-completed 406,650-square-foot industrial distribution building in Perris, CA to KKR for $43.5 million. KKR is making the investment through its Real Estate Partners Americas II Fund.
The facility, located at the 1.45 million-square-foot Optimus Logistics Center, is the second building to be completed and sold at the project. Last September, a 1.04 million-square-foot distribution building was sold to Ferguson Enterprises.
Rockefeller Group’s James V. Camp says, “The sale of the last building at Optimus marks an important milestone for Rockefeller Group in the Inland Empire. In less than two years, we were able to develop 1.45 million square feet of industrial space on a speculative basis along the I-215 freeway and complete the business plan by selling both buildings shortly after completion of construction.”
Rockefeller Group and JV partner MBK Real Estate completed construction of the project in September 2018. JLL’s Mike McCrary, Peter McWilliams, Sharon Wortmann and Scott Coyle represented both parties.
