Rockefeller Cooks Up 207K SF at San Bernardino Facility for Home Chef

Home Chef signed a 206,398-square-foot lease at Rockefeller Group’s Tri-City Industrial Complex in San Bernardino, CA. The meal kit delivery company has retail distribution in more than 700 Kroger Family of Stores.

Home Chef will occupy roughly 60% of the newly-completed 344,249 square-foot cross-dock distribution facility at 1445 S. Tippecanoe Ave., one of two buildings at Tri-City. The first building, an 81,286 square foot property, was sold to 4F Capital upon completion in September 2018.

Rockefeller Group’s James V. Camp says, “Home Chef’s lease at Tri-City shows the strong demand for smaller spaces in in-fill locations like San Bernardino along the I-10 corridor. Rockefeller Group was able to redevelop the site by razing an outdated metal building, and constructing two modern facilities that attracted an investor and now a major food distribution company.”

JLL’s Mac Hewitt and Tim O’Rourke represented the tenant. Cushman & Wakefield’s Chuck Belden, Kyle Kehner, Milo Lipson, Tim Pimentel and Ryan Velasquez advised the landlord.
