Rockefeller Begins Development for 139K-SF San Diego Industrial Site

Rockefeller Group has acquired an improved 7.81-acre Otay Mesa, CA, development site in south San Diego with plans for the spec build of a 138,500-square-foot distribution center designed for single-tenant or multi-tenant occupancy.

The project is located on Airway Road in Otay Mesa, and borders Centurion, Excellante and Gigantic Streets. With site plan development currently underway, construction is expected to begin in October 2020 with completion in June 2021.

The Airway Industrial Park project is Rockefeller Group’s first project in the South San Diego/Otay Mesa submarket.

According to Rockefeller’s Marc Berg, who with James V. Camp will oversee the project, Airway Industrial Park fills a market void with a new Class “A” industrial building that incorporates modern features such as 32’ clear height, 185’ securable yard, truck trailer parking and an efficient office design. “The region lacks buildings with modern features within this size segment,” he says.
