Robinson Weeks Launches Third Spec Industrial Project in Memphis
Robinson Weeks Partners has begun construction on a speculative distribution facility in Memphis, TN. The 234,360-square-foot single-load development, Southridge Crossing, is Robinson Week’s third project in the Memphis area and set for completion completed by the end of 2022.
“In distribution hubs like Memphis there is a massive need for speculative industrial space,” said Matt Davis of Robinson Weeks Partners. “With a current vacancy rate of 4.8 percent, the Memphis submarket has a tight supply-demand imbalance with limited speculative options available for large-scale distribution hubs.”
Southridge Crossing offers auto and trailer parking, finished office space, warehouse lights, 42 dock doors and two drive-in doors.
The facility is in close proximity to I-55, I-69 and I-40, as well as the Memphis International Airport, which is the world’s busiest freight airport. Memphis is also home to five Class 1 railways. The city’s transportation options reach 70% of the US population within a two-day drive.
