Riverside Food Lab Finally Opens Sept. 1

The long-delayed Riverside Food Lab will finally join the food hall explosion Saturday, Sept. 1, just in time for Labor Day weekend, the facility’s social media accounts announced.

The 12,000-square-foot food hall next to the Fox Performing Center had been scheduled to open in the spring, according to the Riverside Press-Enterprise. But, the gas line for the city-owned structure had not been sufficient, and it’s taken the past several months to get it fixed.

Riverside Food Lab features 14 tenants, two of which, Masala Mischief and Wilson’s, were recently announced and all of which stuck with the concept despite the delays. Eateries are Monty’s Good Burger, Soho Ramen, Dia delos Puercos, Pig Pen Delicacy, Augie’s Coffee, Dhat Creole Grill, Freelyraw, Fufu’s Grill, Bolcupop, Sweet Combforts, BeerFarm, Bricks and Birch.

Arteco Partners is leasing the site from the city of Riverside on a 55-year deal for $4,204,800 plus profit-sharing. A full grand opening could take place in late September or October.
