Rise Partners Eyeing York County Mixed-Use Project

Rise Partners is targeting a 97-acre site in York County for a significant amount of commercial, retail and office space. The county planning agency is considering a request to permit up to 300,000 square feet of commercial and retail space, as well as 95,000 square feet of office space.

The Charlotte Business Journal reports plans propose up to 247 residential units. The site is at Old York and Adnah Church roads between Rock Hill and York.

A site plan for the proposed project calls for it to be developed in two chunks. The first is 35.1 acres and includes all commercial, retail, and office space. The second pod would be 61.9 acres and include a mix of single-family attached and detached housing with up to four units per acre.

Records indicate that the request could be considered by York County Council for final approval as soon as next month.

Other applicants listed on the Rise Partners request are Prestige Land and Site Works LLC and Ivester Group, which are the landowners.
