Rio Lofts Going North Near Confluence Park

Multifamily developer NRP Group announced it would build Rio Lofts, an 81-unit, mixed-income apartment complex across the street from the new Confluence Park, on San Antonio’s near south side. The project will be down the street from Mission Concepcion, and near the old Lone Star Brewery.

Rio Lofts, at 319 W. Mitchell St., will provide 67 affordable units and 14 market-rate units, ranging from $800 to $1,100. The four-story building will offer one, two and three-bedroom units, featuring 650 to 1,050 square feet.

Also on tap will be NRP’s Hallmark First program, which is an after-school program for resident children. The program, which is free to the residents, is offered in other NRP projects throughout San Antonio. Rio Lofts is scheduled to break ground in June 2018, and will take 14 months to complete, at an $8.5-million cost.
