Rincon Place Completed in San Francisco’s SoMa/Rincon Hill
Tishman Speyer and the Metropolitan Transportation Commission commemorated the completion of San Francisco’s Rincon Place, a new mid-block passage and park situated between Tishman Speyer’s Lumina, a 42-story, 656-unit, luxury residential community, and the Bay Area Metro Center regional agencies’ HQ.
Tishman Speyer’s Carl Shannon says, “The new park provides an inviting neighborhood gathering space, and is a great example of a private/public partnership between our firm and the MTC.”
Rincon Place measures roughly the length of a football field, and is just over 50 feet wide. The park includes amenities such as landscaped benches, granite patios, counter seating, and bike racks. The community gathering space between Main and Beale Streets features a small amphitheater for live entertainment.
