RICS x NYU World Build Environment Forum Discusses Market Disruption

The Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) hosted its Annual World Built Environment Forum at NYU Stern School of Business in New York City. The event gathered industry experts, practitioners, and academics to discuss real estate’s key issues, including sustainability, digitization, and hybrid work.

Panel discussions highlighted the challenges faced by older buildings, the lack of urgency in affordable housing development, and the role of technology in the future of industry. The conference emphasized the need for ethical leadership and the responsibility of the profession to drive change in environmental, social, and governance practices.

The forum aimed to foster collaboration and shared thought leadership among professionals, policymakers, and academics, focusing on sustainable development, urban planning, housing, and infrastructure.
