Rexford Parts Ways with CIO Patrick Schlehuber

Patrick Schlehuber and longtime employer Rexford Industrial Realty Inc. have parted ways, Connect CRE has learned. As of this writing, Schlehuber has not been succeeded as the Los Angeles-based REIT’s chief investment officer.

Schlehuber spent 16.5 years with Rexford, where he led the company’s property investment strategy across Southern California’s infill industrial real estate market. He helped take Rexford, then a small private equity firm, public in 2013 and played a key role in growing it into the second largest public industrial REIT. Between 2009 and 2025, he directed more than 400 acquisitions and dispositions totaling nearly $14.5 billion in transaction volume, adding over 50 million square feet to Rexford’s portfolio.

With more than two decades of experience in real estate investment and finance, Patrick has developed deep expertise in acquisitions, dispositions, asset and construction management, and leasing. He was a member of Rexford’s Investment Committee and continues to contribute to the industry through board roles with NAIOP SoCal, NAIOP San Diego, and F.L.A.G. (Foundation for Learning, Athletics, Growth).

Before joining Rexford, Patrick was an investment officer at First Industrial Realty Trust. Earlier in his career, he worked in investment banking and financial consulting at RA Capital and Arthur Andersen.

Connect CRE will report additional information as it becomes available.
