Retailer Five Below to Open First Store in Oregon

Retailer Five Below is entering the Pacific Northwest with the opening of eight new locations in Oregon and Washington.

The Philadelphia-based brand, known for selling toys, games, decor, snacks and more for $5 or less, will open its first Oregon location at Cascade Plaza shopping center located at 8905 S.W. Cascade Ave. in Beaverton.

Five Below will take over a shuttered Party City storefront next to an Old Navy, reported the Portland Business Journal. Dollar Tree is also expected to backfill some Seattle-area Party City locations. The other seven locations are opening in former Party City storefront spaces across Washington. Five Below has 1,800 stores in 44 states.

Earlier this year, California-based burger chain In-N-Out continued to advance plans for its first Portland-area location. The chain plans to build a 3,886-square-foot restaurant with a drive-thru and outdoor seating on a half-acre parcel of land at 10565 S.W. Beaverton Hillsdale Highway.
