Retailer Dick’s Sporting Goods to Open Two New Massachusetts Locations

Sporting goods retailer Dick’s Sporting Goods will open two new stores in Massachusetts this month.

The Pittsburgh-based company will launch a 45,000-square-foot location at Cape Cod Mall in Hyannis as well as a 48,000-square-foot outpost at Westgate Mall in the Boston suburb of Brockton. The owners of those malls are Simon Property Group and New England Development, respectively.

The new stores are part of a group of 11 new stores opening across nine states this month from Aug. 5 through 30 in Arizona, Colorado, Georgia, Illinois, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Texas and Virginia. The new stores will add around 300 full-time and part-time jobs. Once the new stores open, Dick’s said that it will have 729 locations across the nation.
