Retailer 5.11 Moves Headquarters into Costa Mesa
There’s something to be said for “knowing the neighborhood,” and retail brand 5.11 is acting on that sentiment as it moves its headquarters – but doesn’t move it very far.
5.11, specializing in tactical/recreational gear, is moving about 2.5 miles from Irvine, Calif., to Costa Mesa, Calif. The new lease is 40,000 square feet of space at Canvas, a creative office complex.
Canvas is a nimble property, offering short- or long-term leases, co-working spaces and fully furnished office suites. In total, Canvas has about 550,000 square feet to lease.
“We are embracing the opportunity for our people to work from anywhere — hence, the importance of having an inspiring space to collaborate in-person,” said 5.11 CEO Francisco J. Morales in a news release.
Helping the deal move along are Newmark Executive Managing Director Jay Nugent, Senior Managing Director Drew Netherton, and Managing Directors Richard Sung and Andrew Robben, who represented landlord EQ Office. Louis Tomaselli and Scott Wetzel with Jones Lang LaSalle represented 5.11.
