Sprouts to anchor Plum Creek retail center

Retail Center Slated for Kyle’s Plum Creek

GBT Realty Corporation plans to develop a 42,000-square-foot retail center in Kyle, south of Austin. A Sprouts Farmers Market will anchor the center. Called the Shops at The Brick and Mortar, it will also include space for restaurants and additional retail stores totaling 18,500 square feet. GBT acquired the five-acre site for $3.2 million late last year. Site work is currently underway with vertical construction expected this quarter. The shopping center is expected to be complete and open by Spring 2025.

The center will situated in Plum Creek, a 2,200-acre, master-planned community with 5,000 homes approximately 20 minutes south of Austin.

The City of Kyle provided an initial $300,000 grant to support the development of Shops at The Brick and Mortar. Remaining incentives totaling up to $950,000 are also expected as property and sales tax reimbursements.
