Restauranteur Buys Orlando Hotel
The Kobe Japanese Steakhouse restaurant chain owner has paid $14.5 million for the former Best Western International Drive Orlando. The hotel has been rebranded as Mai Hana Hotel International Drive.
The Orlando Business Journal reports the Kobe group, founded by Chau Nguyen, has partnered with Orlando-based Delaney Hospitality to oversee the hotel’s operations, management and renovations.
The two-acre hotel site is immediately south of the Kobe Japanese Steakhouse at 8148 International Drive, meaning the Kobe group now has a little over three acres assembled on International Drive. The property is near the soon-to-open Universal Orlando Resort’s Epic Universe project.
