Resmark Taps Bruce Barrett to Establish NYC Office

The Resmark Companies, a Los Angeles-based residential real estate investment fund manager, has named Bruce Barrett as SVP, Capital Markets. The 30-year veteran of real estate investment banking will establish a New York City office for the firm.

At Resmark, Barrett will direct his efforts to raising institutional capital for the company’s single-family and multifamily residential investment programs that have financed 85,000 homes over the past 25 years.  He’ll report to Donald Bethe, EVP, capital markets at Resmark.

“Bruce brings to Resmark a stellar record of success and long-term, wide-ranging relationships throughout the financial world,” said Mitchell Goodman, Resmark’s COO.

Barrett has led more than $20 billion in capital raises in real estate, fixed income, hedge funds and private equity. He has served as managing director at DLJ/Credit Suisse and as VP in Merrill Lynch’s real estate investment banking group.
