Republic Insurance Demolition Makes Way for Three-Building 2727 Turtle Creek

Prescott Group has begun clearing away the former Republic Insurance offices building at 2727 Turtle Creek Blvd., north of Dallas’ Uptown neighborhood. In its place, the Dallas-area developer will put up 2727 Turtle Creek, which will include a 284,000-square-foot office tower, a 250-unit apartment high-rise and a 24-story hotel and condo tower, with 200 rooms and 45 residential units. Also planned are 25,000 square feet of restaurant and retail space.

Prescott acquired the property in 2014 with plans to remodel the Republic Insurance complex. However, the developer opted to destroy the 1950s buildings, and replace them with taller towers. The project was designed by HKS.

Vance Detwiler with Prescott told the Dallas Morning News that the land will be cleared by the end of Q4 2019, with vertical construction launching in 2020.
