Rental Townhomes Change Hands in El Cajon

Northmarq’s San Diego multifamily investment sales team of SVPs Erik Anderson and Benn Vogelsang completed the sale of an eight-unit garden-style multifamily property in El Cajon for $3.44 million. Anderson and Vogelsang represented both parties in the transaction.

Built in 1986, the property is located at 431 Van Houten Ave.. All units are three-bedroom, 2.5-bathroom townhomes, averaging 1,283 square feet.

“Properties with uncommon unit types/mixes are getting more attention nowadays,” said Anderson. “The buyer was attracted to the rental experience townhome units offer to tenants in addition to the location in El Cajon.”

El Cajon is located in the East County region of San Diego County. Home to approximately 100,000 residents, the city is among the most affordable submarkets in the region.
