Renovations Planned for Historic Commerce Towers

Downtown Houston’s Commerce Towers, a 140-unit residential condominium property, will undergo renovations that will improve amenities, along with upgrades. Premier Towers LP, owned the historic asset at 914 Main St. since 1999, having renovated it once in 2004.

The 25-story building was built by Jesse H. Jones, and delivered in 1928. Premier Towers currently owns 71 units, with the remainder owned by individuals. While construction timelines haven’t yet been released, renovations will include updates to the lobby, improvements to amenities such as the pool deck workout room and party rooms, and exterior renovations.

“The renovations will be stunning and are designed to meet the demand of the market in Downtown Houston. While we are dedicated to preserving the history of the building, we also want to support the long-term vitality of the property,” said Nosson Dubin with Commerce Towers.
