Renaissance by Marriott Tops Out in Central Harlem

The Exact Capital Group and the Lam Group have topped off construction on a Renaissance by Marriott Hotel above the historic Victoria Theater in Harlem. Built at a cost of $178 million, the 26-story, 210-key hotel and adjacent apartment tower “will enhance central Harlem’s main commercial corridor on West 125th Street,” said Craig Livingston, managing partner of the Exact Capital Group.

The Victoria Theater’s original 1917 facade and lobby, replete with a grand staircase, have been restored and will return to public view and use as the entrance. When completed, the lower floors will feature a new 25,000-square-foot arts center with two performance spaces, as well as the offices of local arts organizations.

The building also includes 25,000 square feet of retail space. The hotel will have a 5,000-square-foot ballroom, reportedly the largest in Harlem. The site includes a 27-story residential building with 191 units, half of which are affordable.

Connect Texas Multifamily will take place August 15, 2019 in Dallas. For more information, or to register, click here.
