Related Urban Development Group (RUDC), Related Group’s affordable housing arm, is close to securing a land lease with Miami-Dade County to build a $101.7 million project on the Miami River. The land lease would amount to $1.18 million a year. RUDC was the highest bidder following an RFP solicited by the county. The County Commission will have a final vote in early April.

The Gallery at Riverwalk at 1175 NW South River Drive could rise 19 stories on the 1-acre site at 1175 N.W. South River Drive in Little Havana. It would feature 236 apartments, 1,550 square feet of retail and 188 parking spaces. Amenities at Gallery at Riverwalk would include a fitness center, pickleball court, swimming pool, and dog washing station, among others. CFE Architects is the architect. 

The project would include 108 affordable apartments for households earning up to 80% of the area median income and 108 workforce units.
