Related Northwest Developing $16M Project in SE Portland

Related Northwest and partner Central City Concern broke ground on Cedar Commons, a $15.7 million affordable housing development in Southeast Portland. The 60-unit development at 11450 SE Division St. is geared to help those experiencing homelessness.

The project will include 40 units of permanent support housing for homeless individuals or those at risk of becoming homeless. Additionally, Cedar Commons will have 20 studio apartments. Rents are expected to start at $500 for single-room occupancy dwellings, and $740 for studio apartments.

Project funding is coming from a nearly $8.5 million loan from the Portland Housing Bureau. Additional funding is being provided by Meyer Memorial Trust, Oregon Housing and Community Services and Central City Concern. Central City Concern is also set to deliver social services such as mental health services and employment training and support.

The project is scheduled to deliver in June 2021.
