Related Group Greenlit for $202M Southbank Rental Community

Related Group has received a green light from Jacksonville city staff to build a $202 million apartment project along the Southbank. The 25-story riverfront tower will have a ground-floor restaurant, and a 1,000-square-foot ship’s store to service a 29-slip marina and boat ramp that the city will finance. The development will have 390 units and be called RD River City Brewery Apartments.

The Jacksonville Business Journal reports In 2024, the city approved providing a $58.8 million grant towards the development based on total development costs of approximately $202 million.

Related Group purchased the approximately 3.02-acre former River City Brewing property in 2021 for $10 million.

Related Group has seven other area properties: three luxury condominiums in the Miami area and four luxury rentals in Atlanta, St. Petersburg, West Palm Beach and Fort Lauderdale.
