Related Commences Innovative 240-Acre Santa Clara MXU

Related Companies and the City of Santa Clara unveiled new architectural plans for the first phases of a 9.2 million-square-foot, mixed-use development in Santa Clara, CA. The plan calls for 5.4 million square feet of new commercial office space, 1,280 new residential apartments, 400 extended-stay apartments, one million square feet of shopping, dining and entertainment spaces, an Equinox Hotel and a 440-key business hotel.

Site work on the fully-entitled development will begin this month, and vertical construction is expected to begin early next year. The first phases of the Foster + Partners-designed development are scheduled to open to the public in early 2023.

Related’s Stephen M. Ross says, “This 240-acre redevelopment represents one of the most ambitious and transformative opportunities in the area’s history.”

Components are bound together by a coherent open space network of shaded streets and squares. The ambitious, environmentally-sound masterplan envisions several pioneering design initiatives to promote wellbeing, sustainability and future mobility solutions.

Connect Apartments is planned next month in Los Angeles. You can get more information and register to attend on this link.
