Related California to Develop 1st Bishop Ranch Multifamily Project

Bishop Ranch, San Ramon’s 10-million-square-foot office campus, is taking another major step towards becoming a mixed-use community, as Sunset Development has announced that Related California will develop the neighborhood’s first multifamily community following city approval. The complex on Bollinger Canyon Road will designate 15% of the residences as affordable.

Over the next decade, Bishop Ranch will become a $5 billion mixed-use neighborhood under the guidance of property owner Sunset Development. Alex Mehran Jr., Sunset’s CEO, has held a vision of evolving the office park into a vibrant walkable neighborhood. Construction is already underway on three residential neighborhoods by SummerHill Homes.

“Related California has a 30-year track recored of placemaking and Class A residential development that is unmatched,” said Mehran Jr. in a news release. “Without a doubt, they will enhance our San Ramon community and fulfill some of the much-needed East Bay housing demand.”
