Reinsurer SCOR Takes 75k SF at 28 Liberty
SCOR has leased 75,000 square feet at Fosun Hive Holdings’ 28 Liberty St. in the Financial District. The Paris-based global reinsurance company is relocating its New York City headquarters from 199 Water St.
“28 Liberty is an ideal location for SCOR, enabling it to continue its commitment to Lower Manhattan while providing enhanced amenity and transportation options,” said Thomas Costanzo, managing director of leasing for Fosun. “Fosun’s comprehensive redevelopment of the property created an ideal environment for the company and its employees.”
Costanzo represented Fosun, along with a JLL team of Peter Riguardi, Mitchell Konsker, John Wheeler, Michael Berman, Daniel Turkewitz and Eliza Akers. NKF’s Merrill L. Roth advised SCOR.
Since acquiring the former One Chase Manhattan Plaza, Fosun has completed a total of 1.4 million square feet of office leasing at the tower. Fosun also recently completed construction on Marketplace 28, a 200,000-square-foot retail complex at the tower’s base.
