Reimagined Office Finds New Life on Former Brownfield Site
Jay Paul Company, Gensler and local landscape architect dwg are reimagining the office building of Springdale Green on the site of a former brownfield. The building is made up of two six-story office buildings totaling 872,500 rentable square feet.
The campus offers an 18,000-square-foot flex/conference space with a dedicated outdoor patio as well as a 23,000-square-foot fitness and wellness center exclusive to campus employees. An onsite parking garage has spaces for 308 bikes and 46 electric vehicle charging stations, expandable to support 345 EVs.
“Springdale Green represents a new type of office campus integrated within the fabric of the neighborhood, offering unique outdoor spaces that promote productivity, health and well-being,” says Janette D’ Elia, chief operating officer, Jay Paul Company. “The campus design reflects the eclectic spirit and creativity of East Austin, while prioritizing sustainability with a number of environmental restoration efforts for the surrounding landscape.”
