Regeneron Pays $720 Million to Stay in Westchester
Regeneron Pharmaceuticals, Inc. certainly seems happy with its current location in a suburban office park, a few minutes’ drive from downtown Tarrytown, N.Y.
The fast-growing bio-medical firm signed a purchase agreement Dec. 30 to buy The Landmark at Eastview, its existing, 150-acre corporate headquarters, from Biomed Realty L.P. for $720 million, according to the Westchester County Business Journal.
Regeneron has been on a buying spree in Westchester County, paying $50 million for the campus of New York Life Insurance in the town of Sleepy Hollow, and paying $73 million in 2015 for an undeveloped 100-acre parcel next door to Regeneron’s headquarters. Regeneron also had Biomed build 297,000 square feet of new office and laboratory space at its headquarters back in 2015.
