Regency, Toll Brothers Plan Chantilly MXU

Jacksonville, FL-based Regency Centers and Horsham, PA-based Toll Brothers are teaming up on a 36.6-acre mixed-use development at Commonwealth Centre at Westfields in Chantilly, VA. Plans call for rezoning a previously approved office development site for 550,000 square feet of residential and retail.

The new plan includes 120 townhouses, 112 two-over-two townhouses, as well as 100,000 square feet of single-story retail and a multiscreen movie theater. The new plans will be reviewed by the Fairfax County Planning Commission later this month.

The latest development plans are part of a larger 101-acre mixed-use project approved a decade ago at Westfields Boulevard and Route 28. This development would be fourth of six sections of the site to be built. Already completed are two office buildings totaling 325,000 square feet. The second and third sections include the $44.5-million, Wegmans-anchored Field at Commonwealth, a 186,000-square-foot retail center slated for delivery in 2018.
