Redesign Planned for 140K-SF Broadway High-Rise
Taconic Investment Partners is planning a a bold redesign of 817 Broadway, its 15-story, commercial building just two blocks from Union Square.
Giant windows will draw passersby off the sidewalk and into wide-open retail spaces, totaling 10,000 square feet, with 18-foot tall ceilings and 160 feet of wraparound space fronting on Broadway and 12th Street. The renovation will also give the high-rise a rooftop terrace with panoramic views of Midtown and the Hudson River.
“Working with Studios Architecture, we plan to make significant improvements to transform the building into a Class-A flagship for market-leading, global companies,” said Paul Pariser, co-CEO of Taconic, which owns the 140,000-square-foot building in partnership with TH Real Estate and Squire Investments.
Newmark Grubb Knight Frank (NGKF) and RKF will exclusively handle office and retail leasing, respectively.
