Redemption Square Hotel Developer Secures $13M Construction Loan
Hotel Development Services secured construction financing to the tune of $12.5 million for Houston’s 144-key Courtyard by Marriott in Generation Park’s mixed-use Redemption Square. NorthMarq Capital’s Susan Branscome and Kerry French arranged for financing through a commercial bank.
The hotel, situated on one acre at 120 N. Redemption Square Rd., broke ground in early May 2018, with completion scheduled for 2019. The hotel will be Redemption Square’s first, and will include 2,000 square feet of meeting space, a business center, 24-hour market, large fitness center, outdoor pool, casual workspaces and a “grab-and-go” bistro. Ohio-based Hotel Development Services is partnering with American Hospitality Management to oversee construction and management of the property.
McCord Development Inc. is the developer of Generation Park, a 4,000-acre master planned commercial park on Houston’s north side. Redemption Square, the 52-acre urban, mixed-use component, will include apartments, Class A offices, an early-child development center, restaurants and shops.
